Had some pretty harsh light today and I'm over 5 years out of practice. Be kind lol.

Ken, I don't think they suck. I see some obvious problems but think they are all easily over come with practice and getting used to the new lens. My biggest "problem" with these is the unnatural looking colors. You said there was harsh light but I see what looks to me like over saturating the images in post while the white balance still needed tweaked.

It looks like you were getting comfortable with things as far as shooting when you got the goalie shots. With a little more work in post I actually think those would be pretty good.

I shoot a 7D/Sigma combo too. A tip I can give you for sports with that combo is turn the OS off on the lens any time you go to AI Servo for your AF mode. The 7D Servo and Sigma OS don't play well together.

Thanks, still learning the Post process it's all new to me and I have no clue about tweaking the white balance lol.

Really like the second to last image. The best of the set in my opinion.

Well, one of the things against this set isn't anything you have control over, and that it looks like a pick-up game. No real uniforms, men and women of different ages: looks like practice. And as photographers we see practice.

Now, as for the shots, the timing looks decent, the framing is decent. 1, 3, 4, 5 are all "stock" shots, easy to get but look good. For #2, needs cropping. Since there are no unis, I don't know if it was the guy in yellow or the gal in green that shot. I assume the guy in yellow, in which case crop out the defender, she does nothing for the shot.

6 is good, but the cropping is odd. #7 is the best of the bunch, and the crop is close to what I would have. I wouldn't have kept #8, sorry.
