Imagine my surprise while i'm shooting sparrows, finches and hummingbirds in my yard and this flies in. I've lived in my current house 11 years and never seen one of these remotely close to my neighborhood.

I apologize for the compositions as they are quite lackluster.

I saw my first Sharp-shinned over the weekend. I saw it flying in and thought is was a Kestrel. Size progression from my experiences Kestrel<Sharp-shinned<Cooper's<Red-tailed.

Typically the largest things i see in my yard are mourning doves and the occasional scrub jay, when i saw this guy fly in out of the corner of my eye it was like a pterodactyl just landed in the yard, mind blowing to say the least. :D
