I have PhotoShop 7.0 from my son who took a class in college. He didn't leave me a manual. :( But I have PS Elements in my laptop and that has RED EYE on the task bar. How do I get rid of Red Eye in PS 7? I haven't been able to find it anywhere.

Not as easy in PS as in that version there is no red eye icon.

Zoom in close to one of the offending eyes. Make an eliptaical section around the pupil (or offending red area) and then go to Image>Adjustments>Hue/Saturation. From the top "Edits" menu click on reds then desaturate (move saturation to zero). If you want the pupil to be a little darker, move the lightness slider slightly to the left.

That will remove the red eye.

Redeye didn't show up in PS until vCS2. Do a thread search on 'redeye' and I'm sure there is at least one tutorial on it.

CS2 actually has a redeye tool? Thats like adding the basic modes to a 1Ds MKII.

PS should've had a red eye removal tool since PS7, they're just behind the times in some ways. It's a lot quicker to do now than it used to be manually.

Even although the tool is there to auto correct red eye, I still find that I prefer to do it manually. Takes all of 30 secs!

Just for trivia,
I just moved the plug-in from elements (or Adobe photo deleuxe version) over to PS7.0 a long time ago and it worked okay. I did it because someone suggested it. See if your elements has redeye in the plug-in folder in elements. If so then you should be able to move to PS7. It may work differently though.
I have PS CS2 and a tendancy not to get red eye nearly as much as I used to, just from technique.
