I'm not a wedding shooter and I've said this before, hats off to those of you who are...the pressure is tremendous and its a heck of way to make a living. That said, I was asked by family friends to shoot a VERY small private wedding and after doing everything possible to persuade them to use someone else, agreed to do it. I'll be honest, it was fun. The location for the actual ceremony was very difficult but you just have to find a way to make things work. All in all, I was pleased and they were very happy so I guess I'll put it in the "W" column.

not a huge fan of this look but the bride asked for it and I'm learning that they get what they want...

no option but to shoot into the sun so I made the most of it..

Nice set, the candid with flash is my least fav. Looks more like a snap shot. but the other are great.

Thanks very much everyone. I was definitely pretty nervous (more than I've ever been on the the side or baselines for professional or NCAA sports...even bigger games). At the same time, I did have fun once it all started to roll. I see some of the amazing work here and its very inspiring. Even if I don't become a wedding shooter (and trust me, I have no intention of doing so) I think there is a ton to be learned creatively from working outside of my comfort zone, and this certainly was!

Nice work! I like the beach shot and the "shooting into the sun shot". Her eyes look killer in it. I probably would have went into wide angle silhouette mode for that lighting. Really nice though. :D
