For those with EOS M did you go with the Canon mount to attach your long lenses or would something aftermarket suffice? If you went AF what brand did you go with?

I am down to just my EOS M until I get another DLSR and I just need something that will work. My T2 had a accident... long story of the 4year old kind. At least he didn't get both of them!

Thanks

I got a Meike brand and it works fine with my EF lenses. I didn't try ALL of my lenses but maybe 3-4 or so and it worked great.

Don't those M bundles come with one? I would imagine the Canon one can't cost that much more given the bundle itself sells for $399.

Good video (link by Alex) on various mounts on the EOS M thread. Or it was for me anyway, as I am thinking of getting an M.

Get the M. I love mine and having the mount is excellent - especially for my primes. I am really surprised by the IQ of it too. My favorite 16x20 framed in my office was taken with the M and its kit lens.

On the fence, deciding between SL1 and M. Maybe I'll wait for the M2.

Just be prepared for a significantly higher price on the M2. I suspect it will use the same sensor in the 70D. It might be worth it if you do video. Purely from an iq perspective, it will be a slight improvement at most I speculate based on 70D results. The only way I see it justified is if servo AF performance is drastically improved.
