Can the 10D do Black & White? I don't see any images done in Black & White and I don't see any topics about it in regards to the 10D.

When the image is loaded into your computer or displayed on the camera’s LCD screen, each RGB(Red, Green, Blue) is monochrome (no color). The intensity of each B&W filtered sensor (RGB) will determine the color when it’s mixed and presented with a screen viewer or printed. Just about any editing/viewing program can remove the RGB colors and return the image to monochrome.
COLOR REMOVED (RETURN TO MONOCHROME)

Yes, I know you can make B&W images with software, I was wondering if their was a setting on the 10D to do it, there is on the G3. Thanks for responding. NiL, Not having a B&W option on D-SLR’s is not such a bad thing. I practically never just transform straight to B&W, but add or subtract in each color layer to get the correct effect. This is like using different color filters to obtain the desired outcome. I believe Canon assumes these D-SLR’s are for “semi-professional†use and many point-n-shoot options are not included. Personally I don’t even like the in-camera parameter JPEG options for sharpness and contrast level. No matter what Canon does with these options, people will complain that it’s not enough or too much. Better to use RAW and adjust these parameters using a calibrated large display. But, sometimes an automated point-n-shoot is completely appropriate and that is why I also own and use a Canon G2 for these occasions.
