Here's just a few from my older son's games this past weekend. He plays for Cleveland St. Traveled to Lion country to take on UMass and Penn St. 2-0 win against the former, 1-0 loss against State.

Great weather but I sucked to be honest. Very disappointed in the overall output but managed a few keepers. I realized how much of a benefit the practice was when I was shooting all the time. Now that I've been away, I am humbled a lot by just how out of practice I've gotten. Just gotta get back into the swing of things but this has been a good reality check for me. Making it tougher was that with the 70-200 and 1.4x tc combo, there just isn't enough reach to do well on the larger pitch. Combine that with lots of heat off the turf (it was 88 ambient, at least 10 degrees hotter on the pitch) and some angles into the sun and well, my results just weren't good. Anyway, here's a few decent shots (imo), looking forward to the next game and maybe some good flat lighting.....

These shots are cool. I always liked the intense looks from soccer players focused on the ball. Do you find the 1.4x worth the money?

Thanks. The 1.4x is worth every cent. I rarely shoot field sports without it, even when I was using long tele's
