Saw this on Amazon today - running about half of what I see it elsewhere.

Am I missing something?

Link? or its imaginary.

And as has been documented Neewer and others seem to be offering unusually low prices on partial packages. Kind of like those links that offer a camera for an unbelievable price and then tell you it can only be purchased for that price along with the other stuff that normally comes in the box. When those "extras" are added its up to or past the normal price.

Its sold and shipped through New Harbor which has a very high rating on Amazon.

Trying to see what/if there is a catch is but generally speaking buying through a rated seller is usually safe.

Have it in my Cart atm while I search a bit for anything negative.

I read further into the Cheetah Light and found my answer; this is a bad deal as they don't send you all the necessary items for the unit to work.

POTN saves me from a bad deal.

Not that I don't think the Cheetah Light is a great product but what don't they send you in the above package? I didn't see anything in the forums?

Here is what they claim to send: what is missing. Just the remote triggers which you can use any type that you current have or get them for under 100 still making this a great deal. I'm curious what you found out

Package Contents:
1x AD-360 Flash
1x Flash tube
1x bag
1x Mini stand
1x Reflector
1x Power cable
1x PB960 Power pack
1x AC Charger
1x Shoulder Strap

---------------Camera, Lens, Flash stuff.. but still wanting more

I started one of those other threads last week when they were offering this Neewer branded Godox unit without a number of necessary items. Given that New Harbor has now altered the Amazon listing to include everything but the $69.95 remote set it looks like they are now describing a fully functional system. I still am VERY hesitant to go the Neewer route despite the cost savings due to concerns about warranty support, "bait and switch" product substitutions, etc. Potential purchasers should make sure they are aware of the difference between an item sold by Amazon and one that is sold on Amazon. Your recourse for complaints about this sale would be directed to New Harbor not Amazon. But that sure is a really low price for allegedly similar equipment that would cost just over $700 from Cheetah Stand. ($779 CL360 combo deal minus the $69 remote set) Almost a buy one get one free price. But if I buy from Edward I know the product will arrive as described and I will be fully satisfied or he will work with me until I am. That after sale support is worth a lot.

Can you tell I'm conflicted. :( I feel like it is almost sacrilege to even contemplate not supporting Edward after all he's done to bring this product to the US market.

Update: New Harbor also has several of the accessories listed at similarly low prices. This includes the remote set, umbrella reflector, flash bulb protector, etc. The prices on some of those items are so low the shipping is more than the product price. Even with shipping the prices are very low. Not sure how they are doing this unless there is way more markup than I ever imagined on this equipment.

I've bought some neewer manual flashes from Amazon in the past. they were similar to Yongnuo flashes, just rebranded. I didn't have any problems with those flashes.

I saw this as well, once you factor in triggers, umbrella bracket, collapsible softbox, it's very cheap by comparison. My question isn't about Neewers, it's about New Harbor....

Neewer has just slapped their label on standard Godox Wistro units. The Godox units and the Cheetah Light units are identical inside. Only the outside case color and badging is different. The huge question is whether New Harbor can be depended on to stand behind their products if problems develop after the sale. It won't do a lot of good if we save money on the purchase price and then have to ship the units to China and wait weeks for repairs if something breaks. As they say "the devil is in the details".

Well, I'm in for a package, plus ordered the triggers for it. Also from New Harbor.

We'll see what happens. Not too concerned, at the first sign of problems I'll sic Amex on them ;).

If item doesn't arrive as described (main concern here since New Harbor has several listings where they state certain parts aren't included) they will refund me and then go fight with New Harbor. They also double the standard warranty.

I've been a loyal and happy Amex customer since 1987 and use Amex for almost all of my online purchases. When I've had problems with vendors, I contact Amex and they solve it for me. Their customer support is top notch.
