I know it's not Canon gear, but I own lots of that too! :)

I finally sold my E-M5 and have been like a kid waiting for Christmas hoping my E-M1 will show up. I pre-ordered from Adorama early but haven't heard any word that they or B&H have received units so far.

A handful of folks on boards have talked about receiving theirs, but I can't seem to find a vendor with any to sell.

Sitting back with fingers crossed... unless someone knows where they're in stock.

Release date WAS October 4th, and seems to be pushed back by the week every day since then.

It appears a few people that ordered directly on Olympus' site within minutes of pre-order going live got there's last week. Everyone else is still waiting. B&H last I heard said they will have a limited amount by the end of the month, not even enough to fill existing preorders. I have had my order in there since the annoucement was made.

Some people have had luck with contacting local brick and mortar stores with one or two on the shelf. I don't think any online retailer will have any "in stock" any time soon, same as when the E-M5 came out.

As you can tell I am in the same boat... Seems the only plan at this point is to wait if you have a pre-order locked in somewhere.

Don't see any mention of rebates, wonder if they are eligible dealers for the mail in rebates.

I will keep waiting for BH personally, but good find.

The E-M1 is on back order direct from Olympus. Says it ships mid-November, which is this Friday if my math is correct. You can see the various offers that are available. (external link)
