Im having a tough time getting the exact lighting setup by looking at the catchlight because it seems to be above the subject. I cant tell if its some weird window or a large octa or softbox or what, does anyone have an idea?

If you keep trying to find out "exactly" what someone else does or uses, you'll lose your mind. All you really need to do is come close..... I would say that this modifier is 60" (5 feet) or larger. Most likely an umbrella with a front diffuser over it (I think it's call a Soft Lighter). Also, could possibly be a Octadome/Softbox.
