I am shooting a local event / fair that includes a Car and Bike Show and would like some advice. See here
for the event.
My main task is to capture the event so I cannot man a stall or spend lots of time taking bookings. (Here
is the link to last's years shoot)
1. I plan to produce a flyer that people can pick up and that offers a discount to photos of the day (via a coupon on SmugMug), say 20%. People could then order prints of the day, as well as increase my profile in the local area. The flyer would be available at the information desk.
Is this a good strategy?
2. The first 200 car and bike entrants get a bag of goodies and I plan to insert a flyer, for greater exposure. Again, the hope is that car and bike owners would contact me during the day, I would take the photo (which the event organisers want anyway), and allow me to potentially sell images via my website. Again, good strategy?
Attached is a possible design. What are your thoughts on the flyer?
