We are thinking of switching to Showit and Pass for weddings and portrait sessions.

Are any of you using it I would like to see your sites. Also how do your customers like it? I see talk of it too expensive what are you using if you think it is? Do you think your getting more traffic to your site because of the sharing your customers can do from Pass?

I use wordpress for my website and Smugmug for proofing. If you need to send a lot of pics, Smugmug will create a zip file of an entire gallery that you can email and download.

I use wordpress and smugmug.

But actually I have used PASS too and am continuing to do so.

You have to be careful with it and know how to use the features correctly. It is all about sharing images and is a good concept and the image gallery display is gorgeous. The app feature is pretty cool too.

It does have problems, print ordering is useless, you cannot change the pricing and only one lab. But I turn off the print ordering option.

Example of how it worked. I was hired to shoot a local soccer gig. Posted pics on PaSS, soccer director gave link to all 70 parents. Within 24 hours the gallery had been viewed by over 300 people, with 62 logging in to download images of their kids (which were branded and low res). When they log in you have their email info or Facebook info, can see what they downloaded and I contacted all of them just as a courtesy. Booked one wedding, 6 fall portrait sessions and sold $400 worth of prints.

As with any tool you have to know how to use it to its maximum potential.

Build the $29 price into wedding packaging. When you see te look on your clients face when you put the app on their phone, it's awesome.

Research it and give it a try, not for everyone. For me it's for customers who purchase a full digital package.
