Any idea on how to improve this pic ?

I like this image.

I see where you were going with framing the monkey with darks.

It may be balanced a little better with no silhouette leaves on the lower camera left.

Not sure though.

I would crop the left side so that you get a similarly shaped triangle in the upper left corner (created by the branch) as you have in the bottom right (created by the shadow).

Try playing with cropping the photo. Maybe a portrait crop would work. I quite like the mood and story the photo is telling already. Not certain if a different crop would improve that.

Clone out the straggling hair coming off the CUTE LITTLE MONKEY's knee. Clone out the blurry branch sticking out of the CUTE BLURRY MONKEY's mouth in the background.

Otherwise it's great!

I did some levels, contrast, saturation, and sharpening. Pretty basic.

Try cropping so monkey is in the left top position of the rule of thirds.

Thanks again. I think I will try to combine the ideas of nittaya and commonjunks and see how it comes...
