I really cant edit these photos

Recently did a family shoot for a friend. As you know, babies stop for nobody.. Had to take the shot, but my photoshop skills come up short when editing out these background people out. Mainly because they are so close to the subjects face

Any help or tips is very much welcome

The white balance seems too cool - try white balancing off of the baby's bow. As it stands, when you try to edit the cool JPEG, you get some yellowish artifact in the skin tones. Establish some local contrast and boost the color. I cropped a bit too.

Kirk's looks a touch warm to me, but better than original.

I think the trick here is to copy the area behind his shoulder from one image using the free select tool, feather the selection, copy, paste into other image, make into smart object. Then skew and rotate until it fits. Use the healing brush to have a go at the edges if required.

I believe the OP is talking about editing out those "white" background people!

I'm no expert into that type of "retouching", so I'll stop there!

Yeah, that's what I mean. Copy and paste the trees from one image over the people in the other image.

Grizz may be right in not posting his edit, but I think the OP's statement "Any help or tips is very much welcome," can legitimately be interpreted as a request to show edits.

1. Cloned out background figure.
2. WB from the white T-shirt.
3. Luminance mask.
4. Tone curve pulling down highlights in HSL space (in which a decrease in tone [L] causes a corresponding increase in saturation .)
5. Convert to sRGB.

Ok then, I'll post mine too. Cloned out the peeps in the BG, adjusted clarity,WB, contrast and tone curve.

I found WBing from the t-shirt was hit or miss for a couple of reasons, including any optical brighteners that the t-shirt has been washed in as well as the blue bounce light coming from the lady's blue dress. These effects also change over the surface of the shirt. THe baby's bow seems a little more immune to these effects.

Kirk your right I had fits with the wb on this image. I think my edit is still a touch too cool but I liked the skin tones so I went with it.

Nice edits, I hope mine isn't too far off. I tried to warm this edit up a little. What helps me when I clone is to make selections to protect adjacent areas.

Thanks for pointing out the missed area, I've now fixed it. It looks like I'm going to need an eye exam sooner rather than later...
