Folks,

Is there anybody with experience of being on the road most of the time, heavily using the backpack while hiking and doing photography trips?

I was studying options on-line and I see couple of them available:
1. Lowepro Vertex 300 AW
2. Lowepro Rover Pro AW

I did not find anything else. I have seen many active landscape photographers using the Vertex 300 AW and they say it can take a lot of gear (seen it myself) and it more or less OK in terms of comfort and quality, nothing spectacular. It has some flaws...mostly with zippers. I also see that it cannot take anything except for the photo gear, so it is not really a backpack for hiking as you will not have a room for a spare t-shirt or snacks.

Rover Pro is probably closer to this with much less room for the gear and I read (have not seen anybody using it) that it is not very comfortable when it comes to taking the camera our. It is more like a regular backpack with 2 soft shell cases for the gear.

Are there any other options?
Thanks for the help.

I think you'd get more replies and info if you posted this on the "Accessories & Storage" forum. There are some good "stickies" there, too, comparing equipment.
