hi guys,
i posted this shot earlier on but it had some water drops on my lens which took away from the shot,i finally got gimp up and running on my linux laptop so i could use the healing brush to get rid of the water drops,any tips on siloutte and c&c would be great.

thanx,i got up early to take this one,its in rankin inlet nunavut canada,its a small northern community wayyyy north of 60.the rock is a inukshuk,its used by the locals to guide them on the land.

It's probably just a matter of personal taste but I think the sunset is too dark. If you had to darken the overall image in order for the structure in the foreground to go all black, could you have selected the object and darkened it seperately from the background during post processing?

Here's a quick edit for an example where I seperated the object/foreground from the bg and lightened the bg. I also straightened the horizon and reduced noise.

nice edit,i did have to darken it abit to get the inukshuk to be black,i hope to get some more sunsets here while im working.
