Daily commute home from Whitehorse ... the elk herd was out both Thursday and Friday this past week.

Thanx! I think this herd is used to my presence now. They're often on our property. I often have to shoo them off our driveway so I can leave for work. And I often photograph them. A couple of the cows stand and stare at me most times.

In mid-August the rut was starting and the whole herd was on a ridge across the creek from us.

Even so, they knew I was there. A few of the cows had their eye on me!

He was following a cow in that shot and eventually she dashed into the bush and he disappeared after her! Wonder why? :oops:
