I have this shot of a friend's family that they wanted since the pier burned down in Seaside. I really don't want to give it to them with the danger sign or the dirt pile to the left. Obviously in hindsight I should have shot from a different angle but this was the best that came of that day. Every time I try to clone out the sign by either using the patch tool or the healing brush/clone stamp it becomes very obviously messy due to the small repeating pattern of the fence and the pier. I'd love to learn how to do this effectively for the future (other than finding a better location, LOL)

Attached in the link are 2 RAW files. The one with the family and a similar shot without the family in the picture in order to maybe make the edit easier. Any help is greatly appreciated!!!

Real quick edit. Used the content aware move tool in PS to get rid of the large distractions like the sign. Then used the clone tool to rebuild the fence where needed. Rebuilt the pier above the stone pile with the clone tool then changed the rocks to sand with the clone tool and healing brush tool. IT was done quickly and if this is an important photo for your friends and you can't come up with a version you like id be happy to spend some time on it for you. Let me know.
