It's tempting me too, especially that with my Amazon CC it's an extra $60 back + that 2% rewards on Amazon. That would make the total $1599 for me... pretty tempting. But then I'd have to sell my Tamron 24-70 VC and Canon 24-105L

It is tempting but I too would have to sell either my 50L or 24L and my 24-105 to justify it and I don't know it's worth it to me since I like all 3. I had the old 24-70 and really the only thing I didn't like was the weight/size. ugh, I hope they raise the price back up :-}

I agree, I won't be parting with either anytime soon. I also have the 135 and I love it too.

If I ever get a 24-70 I'll probably just swap it for the 24-105 but I am happy with that lens too so probably not going to happen.
