Should be a 67 427 based on the Stinger stripe & hood scoop.

Ok, I tried to correct it. The above photo is of a 67 not a 66 as the title says. Sorry for the mix up everyone. Thanks for catching that cicopo.

As soon as I saw that stinger hood I was going to say the same thing. And, Title fixed. ;)
Nice car and angle captured. :)

Nice capture, but I would've cloned out the OK Cars! sign in the background. Makes a very nice car seem cheap.

To me it just shows that you're at a Chevrolet Dealer. I'm OK with it, but I do see what you mean. ;)

The Chevrolet is honestly fine to me, but the bright colors and the "used car sign" feel of the OK Cars sign doesn't work for me.

I understand, but to me the OK used car sign is period correct for the car. ;)
As an aside, I remember attending car shows at the Chevrolet dealer on a Sunday. :)

As a former dealership employee I'm OK with that sign too & to me it fits the rest of the background.

I actually added the Chevrolet Bowtie and the OK Used Car logo to the window banner. I was worried it would be to distracting and take away from the car. I thought I would take a chance with it. It's one of those areas where it fits or it doesn't, and you like it or hate it. I would like to know who thinks it's distracting and who thinks it adds to the photo. I can't learn if I don't ask.

The photo was taken at an old closed Ford dealership during the weekly Friday night cruise-in in that shopping plaza. I added the Chevrolet script to the banner as well. So it would be easy to remove it. I tried to do some research online for older dealership window signs and advertisement, but everything kept coming back to the OK Used Car sign.

Thanks Bruce for fixing the Title.

As is for me.

Edited to add
Restoring them is my day job these days & has been since leaving the dealership over 25 years ago.

Heh, small world. My brother used to own a custom paint and body shop. His specialty was Corvettes. His 67 Vette Roadster was the logo on his business cards.

I haven't done any old Vettes, yet, but I've been restoring, and customizing for over 20 years professionally. I am head fabricator, and shop manager at this shop here. http://lo-manrods.com/ (external link)

The guy we just finished the 41 Willys on that site, is talking about a 62 Vette as a possible for his next project. It will more than likely be a custom than a restored piece though. He's saying he wants an Art Morrison Chassis for it if he decides to build it. Guess we'll see what happens. Should be a cool project either way.

It's cool to find other people that enjoy a lot of the same passions as I do. Anyone who likes Cars and Photography, has to be alright in my book. :D
