Go to Google and type in dot tune. It is free and (for me) better than focal.

Dot tune or reikan focal is the way to go. Google is your friend.

I told him to google dot tune. It was meant to be helpful by letting him know of a technique he has never heard of. I just wanted to save some time. After googling in, here is all the info (first result) http://www.fredmiranda.com/forum/topic/1187247 (external link)

lens calibration.. What's it all about.?

When do you do it? lens is back or front focusing
How do you know if it should be done? out of focus pics
How much does it cost and who does it(Can you do it yourself)? $120+ US, minor tune in certain cameras

Thanks

Read my thread here - look at the pics - you need it when your lens back or front focus. Mine was back focusing about 4ft behind the AF target.

I just read the manual bw!
The W is the setting at wide
The T is the setting at telephoto
And the zeros is where the serial number goes...
RTFM !

You will need to micro adjust the lens again with the TC attached. The camera will store the adjustment settings separately.
