When do you do it? lens is back or front focusing
How do you know if it should be done? out of focus pics
How much does it cost and who does it(Can you do it yourself)? $120+ US, minor tune in certain cameras

Read my thread here - look at the pics - you need it when your lens back or front focus. Mine was back focusing about 4ft behind the AF target.

Thanks Guys.. When doing adjustments 5Dmk3 and with my 70-200 I see there are two settings/lines.
Like the pic below but two lines.
One line with .. W -20........0........+20
Second line with T -20.......0........+20

What is the T and the W? which one is to be set??

Would all of this also work with a 2x TC III added??

You will need to micro adjust the lens again with the TC attached. The camera will store the adjustment settings separately.
