Another shot to critique please. This was a kind of impromptu shoot as I was passing by the cemetery on a early afternoon. The lighting it not the best, but I plan to reshoot with better lighting conditions.
The things I plan to change on the reshoot so far.
Reframe so the monument to the left of the in focus element is hidden.
I plan to get the entire tombstone in the image. (This is from the 1800's)

With all the negatives that you said...why post it?

To get other ideas! Those are things I know that needs to be fixed. I am looking for other suggestions. If I came here and the only thing people said were the things I already knew, it wouldn't help me.
Or at least that is my thinking.

I actually like this image a lot!
I don't mind the other monument in the BG, it is there, but is OOF enough that it isn't that distracting.

without an idea, it will be still just an image of a tombstone.

for harsh-high contrast PP it's a nice job on a main subject, maybe you just should try to reverse the tonalities and impact [regarding the background], but comp can be way better, that's true. but that's not important, really.

Thanks Mojo and Osh. I am planning another visit to this site and with some of the suggestions here and in the other cemetery shot I took, I hope to create better images.

I like the post processing, sounds like you have nice plans to fix the composition!

Thanks Big Red. I have plans to go out this weekend for a new location, if I have time, and if the sky conditions are right, I am going to try to retake this shot.
I have a new lens that give me a wider FOV so I am going to shoot with that lens as well.
