Can you save all your 5Dmk3 camera settings to your PC?
As "Other" people do like to Mess things up within the settings..

A few models, like the Canon 1DMkIV, support what you desire. When you get to the link, go to the 2nd page where an individual mentions a utility that might do this. I didn't try it back then nor now so you get to be the test case.

I haven't got around to installing it on my new laptop as I don't use the Canon software that often and the need for it hasn't came up, otherwise I'd verify if it is there and works on the 5DIII.

Interesting point you bring up. I only have the Help File for EOS Utility version 2.9.0 and I've attached two pages that indicate some items can be "registered" which I assume means saved to the PC. The current version is 2.13.25.1 - I'll have to update and give it a try.

So for a 5D3 users like us, we'll have to write down the settings ourselves & keep it safe somewhere. If that's the case, it seems pretty silly to support it on bodies that can already save settings to CF/SD card.
