Over the weekend, I was walking with my kids and tripped. Fell flying like a superman one arm out and all! Of course I am wearing my T3i + 17-55 f2.8 across my body. So, my camera slams onto the tile floor & I fall straight on top of it. Sigh..... I am all bruised up but the camera and lens seem to work totally OK! I was sure I would need to throw the whole thing in the trash, but they work!!! I checked for any loose parts, rattling noise, cracks, etc. All seems OK. I am totally amazed!!! :)

These cameras are a bit more rugged than we generally assume.

The pain and suffering in those videos is both amazing and horrifying.

It's incredible that any of those cameras survived at all.

Next time, don't wear your camera while staggering around drunk.

And stay away from canals, rivers, etc.

There's a reason why Andy Capp isn't a photographer.
