Perfect for landscape trips! i know what f/4 means.... but that's far from "Fast".... again, i can throw on my Canon FL 50mm f/1,4 which is tack sharp from 1.4 to f8...... or i can just throw the Sony 35mm 2.8 lens for travel! -David T.

Lets hope it's at least 1.4 and reasonably priced... these prices for lenses have been crazy.... i don't see the benefit from spending 1K on a lens that can produce the same quality images from an old lens that cost 60.00 - 100.00 on ebay. -David T.

Using C1 to use it still works with the Sigma. I'm curious to hear whether it works on Zeiss lenses. I stand corrected. The magnify assist when turning the focus ring DOES work on my Sigma 35 f1.4. Evidently, you need to hold the 'wide open' button down with the camera power on each time you change lenses. It appears that the adapter reverts back to 'green mode' whenever you change lenses otherwise. Gene - My Photo Gallery ||

I would love to see some other companies drop REALLY FAST primes for the A7.. Sigma, Tamron, where art thou? Is this fast enough?

Suddenly $11K doesn't seem that bad at all. David | Flickr

C'mon guys! what are you going to do with a f/0.95 lens... while i love bokeh, i feel that companies like that take advantage of the consumer by overpricing their stuff... want a fast lens at that portion of that price get a MagicSLR lens... -David T.

There's that too yes. Sometimes I think soft shots from very fast lenses are a result of missing focus (rather than the lens being soft). That said, from tests I've seen of many fast (f/1.8 and quicker) primes, very few are particularly good until you stop them down well past f/2.0; which somewhat limits their aperture advantage. Camera, some lenses, too little time, too little talent

I had hoped my comment about the "High-Quality Cardboard Representation Box" was a clear-enough tell that I think the $11K Noctilux is a joke. If you're trolling, then I'm right there with you.
