That is as minimum as it gets you can generally "survive" with just that. I usually have my old 50d as a third backup/as macro on it in my bag for accent/detail work. I could probaly get through an entire wedding with just those 2 lenses but I'd never restrict myself that much so they usually all get an outing at every wedding. That looks like a cool setup !!! Although I'd go with a 85L instead of the 85/1.8, sacrificing the 85/1.8's faster AF for the option of shooting the 85L wide open on occasion. I have a set of Polaroid macro extension tubes that I use with the 85mm for ring shots. Certainly not as good as a dedicated macro lens but it will do until funds allow another purchase. I'm considering that as my next purchase. How do you rate it on a 5DIII? How easy is it to focus & meter? I honestly haven't shot a lot with the Rokinon to get a good feeling on ultimate optical quality. Critical focusing can be very hard without live view. I stopped down a lot to maximize DOF (which isn't that hard given large DOF with very short focal lengths). The lens comes up as "unknown" without indication on the aperture I manually selected (just ISO and shutter speed). This is simply because the lens is all manual, there are no dedicated chips that transfer the information to the camera. You can buy one those chips and install it by your self if you want to have the aperture information BlackBull wrote in post #16377389 Does the lens allow for any in camera meter readings?
