Just out of interest, does anyone still shoot with the early model G series?

I have an old G2 and never take it our as I have an IXUS and two SLRs. It's just so big for only 4MP. Admittedly the quality of the pics was always good, despite comparatively low resolution, but I had wondered about getting the IR filter removed to play around with IR photography before I consider getting my 30D SLR converted.

Would love to hear about anyone who still uses theirs or has found a creative use for theirs!

G2 makes a great IR camera. Should you ever be interested in the Canon wide angle, telephoto and adapter PM me.

I still use my G6 in a Ikelite UW housing. Works great and I don't worry about it flooding.

Believe it or not I still use my G1. Takes great photos for old technology.

My G6 is still in use for inventory purposes, maybe 25 shots/month. Recently printed up some 16x24" taken back in '05 with it. In those days this was a nice back-up to the 5D-C. Same battery and swapping CF cards.

Still use my G3, have taken it on a recent holliday when I had to travel light.
The 4MP are suficient for 8"x12" printing and sharing on web.
Only problem I have is that the images on the mode dial have faded.
