Heard on the news last night that the last flight of Air Force One (McDonnell Douglas DC9-32) is scheduled to land at the old Castle AFB (CA) at 1pm. So we packed up the family and drove to Fox Road and waited. It showed up on time and did a fly-by, wheels-up, and came around and landed.
In the process of taking pictures of the landing, my shutter quit in mid-click. I quickly turned the camera off to reset the shutter and switched to a different lens. Thankfully I got a few decent pictures of the landing.
It’s scheduled to be on display at the Castle Museum.
