Hi,
Does anyone know A good place to have a wedding album made?? (UK only please)
Costs? Not to expensive if possible :-)
Do you have to send the photos to them and they do the rest?
Can this be done online?
What to avoid?
Or anything else I should know..?

Thanks in advance..

Hi Nick,

There are 3 that I have used / seen the results from and they are (in general order of cost) :

SIm2000 - http://www.sim2000imaging.com (external link)
Loxley Colour - http://www.loxleycolour.com (external link)
Mario Acerboni - http://www.parker-photo.co.uk/ (external link)

As all are professional services you will need to create an account to view prices.

I can't talk about the others but I know from personal experience that if you send them 6 or so prints Loxley will provide you with free samples - both auto corrected and non-corrected so that you can evaluate your screen calibration in comparison with their printers.

Generally you will design the album and submit spreads to them - 1 spread = 2 pages. Loxley Colour do however offer their ARCHITECTâ„¢ Album Design Service where they will do it for you based around instructions that you give - this is a chargeable service though.

The retailers all provide "Album Creation" software with templates that you can just drag and drop into but if you want to do something bespoke then I'd recommend Photojunction software couples with Photoshop - greater effort but much more freedom of expression.
