Ya, im going to hang on to the gear. I was shooting last night and there is now way i can let this stuff go. Im going to stick with the lenses I have now for a while. Just to get that "feeling" back. However, it really was fun shooting outside and in low loght last night. :)

If you don't need the money, keep the body. I know too many people who went through a rough patch with a hobby, jettisoned a bunch of gear, and regretted it in a few months. You don't loose points for keeping a camera in a drawer. Maybe just forget about photography completely for another month, giving yourself a free pass. Absence makes the heart grow fonder? Maybe start a 365 or 52 project to get you going again.

Indeed, don't get rid of stuff just because you're in a slump. I've gone through these phases before and they sometimes last 6 months and they sometimes last two years. Once I get back in to it my gear is all there, ready and waiting for me and I can get right back to having fun shooting. My grandmother is a painting and we talked about this once, she has gone through the same things and never gets rid of her tools and supplies. She might need new paint & materials but her studio stays the same.

How did you know?

But seriously, I'm confused. How do you define a snob?

The same way most dictionaries define it.

Did you lose Digital Photo Professional (DPP)? Get it here (external link). Cursing at your worse-than-a-map reflector? Check out this vid! (external link)

Ditto my 70-200 II. It never gets used, it's just not a focal length I have any use for. It is a superb lens though............ :(

Please tell us more. How does 1/8000 make it easier?

Good point, bad example.

Dealing with bright sunlight and a huge aperture is easier with 1/8000.
