Good day, fine folks of POTN...
If you're bored at work, put your creative hats on, I need a punchy name for a classroom.
A bit of background: This thread explains that I'll teach next January a select group of high-school students a lot about photography for a semester (one credit of photo 101, one for digital imaging and 2 credits of coop placement). The high school is well set up: a 850 sq. ft. studio with three stations, flash rails, a bunch of strobes and modifiers, etc... We call that classroom, well, "The Studio". Nice lettering on the door, you get the picture. Next classroom over is called "The Lab", because it has 20-odd workstations for post processing. Nice lettering on the freshly painted door as well. And there's a third, yet unnamed classroom that will be mine. That's where I'll teach theory, with the students sitting around a large conference table. (Practical exercices are either in the field or in "The Studio".) There will be a couch in a corner, with coffee station
, perhaps a backdrop in the corner and a couple of flash rails.
Another teacher has suggested calling my future classroom "The Workshop", but I'm sure we can come up with a better name...
Thoughts, ideas, suggestions?
BTW, if you read french, the program's web site is at focusphoto.ca![]()
Merci!
