Hi guys, I have just picked up my 60D, put the 'full battery' in for the first time and nothing? (battery has been charged like the manual says)

Anything to be worried about or have I not done something?

Regards, TR... ;)

Do you have a grip on it? If so, I'd start with removing the grip.

Also, maybe try a different lens.

Is this a newly purchased camera? What does "just picked up my 60D" mean. I see one in your profile...same camera? If new, did it ever turn on?

By the way there is a small microswitch on both the battery and SD card doors to detect if the doors sre open. Make sure the doors sre fully closed or the camera won't power up.
