Just a quick summary of the latest report from CR.

It looks like the holidays going to come and go without Canon this year. For the moment, there doesn’t seem to be much chatter coming from the Canon camp, not even a whisper.. Two new bodies are expected at the most in Q1 of 2014, one being a new EOS M camera, the other being an entry level type DSLR. Also, some new Cinema EOS camera(s) are likely to appear before NAB in April 2014.

Other than that is anybody's guess!

Well, I wasn't expecting anything major this year, but I did have hopes for the 14-24L and some other lenses.

Sigh. So the current rumors floating around is only about the EOS M, entry level DSLR and cinema bodies? That sounds great!

Why even release a new EOS M? The first model flopped so hard that Canon even publicly complained about it, and now that Sony have released the world's smallest mirrorless full frame (which can take EF lenses), why on earth bother with a second attempt on this weak product?

Copying / following others is not always a bad thing. This time Canon should follow Sony's example, or watch thousands of their EF lenses being adapted to the A7 and A7R.

I think it's impressive to see how much Sigma has improved since their change of management.

Maybe it is time for Canon to do the same? Off with all the old turtles and in with some fresh and innovative thinkers who actually wants to get things done.

Old school japanese conservatism might be Canon's main problem.

Change doesn't come easy for some.
