Test of the Tokina 12-24mm f/4 on FF

I've seen a few low-res sample pictures from this lens on FF, but I wanted to see for myself how it performed on FF, so I did a quick and dirty test. It's an excellent performer on APS-C, and I'll leave it up to you to make your own conclusions about how it performs on FF. For me I consider the FF usability more a nice "bonus" feature of this lens.

The pictures are straight RAW conversions from the 5D. No correction or sharpening applied.

The size of the board was approx. 2.5 x 4 ft.

Best results are from 20mm onwards. At 18 and 19mm it needs to be stopped down to f/8 or more.

I haven't tried the 12-24 on my 6D. Maybe its time to try out the combo. I loved the lens on my crop cameras....
