I would only buy prime L's with the exception of the 70-200 IS II.

I wouldn't have held onto lenses & cameras that I wasn't using any longer. I guess that is a GAS symptom!

Think the only thing i'd do different is NOT sell my 135 F2 and NOT bought a 50 F1.4 only to sell it 2 weeks later. Other than that, nothing i'd do different :)

No EF-S or APS-C.

Really not happy with weight and size of the f/2.8 zooms but I can't do events with primes - unless I get more bodies.

Would probably do events with a 1d3 with the 17-40 and big flash, the 5d2 with 135L and a 5Dc with a 85mm.

My imagine composition sucks. I need a heavier lens.

I had a crop (7D) and got a fair bit of work with the 10-20 Sigma.

Now I've got the 5DMIII the lens is useless.

Sigma 30 and tamron 28-75mm
The sigma 30 takes great pictures, when it wants to :)

Canon 6D, Canon L 24-105, Zeiss Distagon 28mm 2.8, Planar 50mm 1.4, Planar 85mm 1.4, Sonnar 135mm 2.8 & Zeiss Mutar 2x, Canon 50mm 1.8

Things I would have done differently:

- not get the the 7D, go instead directly to 5D II
- not buy the EF 50/1.4 USM (always had kind of 'meh' feeling with this on, optically speaking). Also it's AF is not that great, hunts in low light and is very fragile. Mine broke as well, without warranty covering it :(
- not buy the 50L. Don't get me wrong, it's fantastic lens, but just not worth the huge price tag when I could get the same optical quality with Sigma 50/1.4. Nowadays I prefer strictly manual focusing 50mm lenses for 'artistic' purposes. None of the 50mm lenses have ever surprised me positively, sharpness-wise. I guess bokeh and subject isolation are the reasons I want a 50mm standard lens for. I would love to get the Otus 55/1.4, but it's just so expensive
- get the Zeiss 21/2.8,much earlier :)
- of my existing lenses wish I had bought them used instead of new, would have saved me a lot of money
