5D Mark III or 70D

Which to buy....5D Mark III or 70D. just would like to get some input on which camera you would buy and why.

I like the images on your website. Assuming money is not an issue, I would buy the 5DIII. I had one on loan from CPS for awhile, and it's a terrific camera. I also have a 7D which is not dissimilar in performance to the 70D. If you can afford the full frame 5dIII, it will be a better performer overall, in my view.

Get the 5d MarkIII. No reasons why not if you are able to afford it.

If you don't know the answer to that question then, I'm sorry to say but, maybe going to buy a 550D first would be a better solution.

Hate to take the hard line on that one, but most people that go for either or, do so, because they know exactly what each camera does, and what they need it for.

If you were a junior member and didn't have an impressive gallery on your web page, I'd say: If you don't already understand the benefits of the 5DIII, it is unlikely that you will be able to exploit them; get the 70D, it is a fine camera. In your case, I don't understand the reason for the question; I notice that you posted it at 11:30PM... Hmm

Weighing the relative benefits of, for example, the 70D vs. the 7D is (IMHO) a more subtle and difficult question. But, compared to the 5DIII, here are the benefits to the 70D that I can think of:
1. Price
2. Flip out screen (particularly useful for video, some consider this a disadvantage)
3. New Auto-focus system that looks pretty impressive for video (it provides no benefit when using the viewfinder)
4. Popup flash (disputable if this is an advantage)
5. Much smaller and lighter (again, disputable if this is an advantage)

Benefits of the 5DIII:
everything else.

Seen your blog, whatever your using now seems to be working for you. So from that, what are you looking for in improvements from a camera ? FF, higher ISO or video. Since we do not know what camera you have now it's a hard question to answer. But the 5D MRK3 is a great FF camera compared to a 70D, that's only my view.

Sorry for the stupid question!!! I have never used a full frame camera before, always crop. I am currently using 1D Mark III. I am trying to branch out more on the things I shoot. I know what the differences on the cameras are and to answer my own darn stupid question. I should sell my 1D and buy both the 5D and the 70D. Thanks for the replies. Sorry For taking up everyones time!!!

Oh and P.S. totally left out this was going to be in addition to the camera I already have.....so that kinda makes it a less stupid of a question....lol
