I've been doing a lot of research on Nightscape photography lately and decided to practice a bit from my apartment window before trekking out into the night. I didn't expect to come up with anything it was really just for practice but I ended up with something somewhat interesting. It combines a bit of interior and exterior, as well as a lot of artificial light from the movie theater marquee next door. Managed to capture a plane flying by as well which was a bonus.

Critique always welcome. Settings were 24mm, f/2.8, ISO 400, 41s Exposure.

Looks like your on the right track, my suggestion would be to move outside and resume. :)
