Just curious if anyone has done this. Not looking to do something major, but just a suttle small name and logo with maybe a phone number or web address in the corner of the shirt. Just thought it would maybe look a little more professional while doing jobs.

I think it depends on how big the logo is and how it looks. I mean, go into any company or have any service company perform services for you and odds are they will have a shirt with their logo on it. It is almost as if to say "yes, i do work for this company".

You're starting a debate with Thomas you're never going to get to the end of

I have logoed shirts myself. I also have fully branded cars too.

I don't disagree with you at all. I don't want to be compared to a Best Buy employee or my local mechanic.

My attorney and my CPA don't wear their logo on their shirt. I'd rather be thought of along their lines than a retail service worker.

I think it's a good idea. It is part of your marketing and branding, and equally as important it gives you a professional appearance when on a job. I always wear a logo's shirt when working. Some of the work I do is residential real estate photography and it give the homeowner a more secure feeling that I am who I represent myself to be when I go into their home. I have gotten good feedback from clients who appreciated the professional attitude and attire.

I get all my shirts embroidered and/or digitally printed (t-shirts) at the Queensboro Shirt Company. www.queensboro.com (external link). They have good pricing, good quality shirts, and frequently run specials.

Incidentally, I get all of my printed materials (brochures, Bus Cards, etc.) from GotPrint. www.gotprint.com (external link). Great pricing, great customer service, and quick delivery.

I hope this helps,
Jim

I wouldn't do a car because I don't need a giant sign saying "THERE MAY BE EXPENSIVE EQUIPMENT IN HERE!"

Maybe petty crime is less of a deal on your island of criminals than here in Houston. ;)

So what are your thoughts on wearing shirts with a brand on them (i.e. Polo etc.) to a shoot?

I wear a dress shirt with no logos, a vest with no logos, slacks with no logos and a bowtie with no logos EXCEPT [rarely] the company I am shooting for. I guess you could see my watch's logo if you looked really, really closely. Or if you were a watch person, you would probably recognize what it is at a distance :D

Also depends what I am shooting. NFL game, I don't really care. Generic dry-fit and khaki shorts.

Business Portraits? I am dressing professionally. Weddings? Dressing professionally.

I only have them in my 4x4. When I take the convertible out I don't carry as much kit so don't leave it in the car.

The logo I use on my embroidered shirts (long sleeve and golf) is a small logo on the right side. Very unobtrusive. I also have T-shirts that have a large logo on the back. I wear these around for the sake of advertising, but never on a job.
