Personally, I like the second one best. The composition seems more balanced.

I agree. In #2, I like the way the moon, the tree, and the birds (particularly the pair of geese) are positioned, in relation to one another. Then the dark edge at the bottom of the frame (vegetation) really anchors the image most effectively. A real nice series, Mike!

Thanks Jon and Tom. I kind of like #2 as well. Also, those are Sandhill Cranes, and there are three. I thought two at first, but I had to zoom in to see. :)
