Need a mic to connect to my 5D III. I will be filming editorial product reviews, and need to be able to record audio in "real time". Microphone needs to connect to camera with enough cable to stretch between the camera and me, while on camera. About 10 feet. Wireless would be ok.

Thanks for your help!

I use the following one and I love it. Sounds great and has about 20ft of cable. It just requires a single battery (I think to boost the sound through the cable or something).

Only 20 bucks down the drain.

Hang out in the Audio/Video section and do some reading there. Pick up this book while youre at it: LINK (external link)

With amazon, its never down the drain, at least for 30 days :). I will check out the rode microphone for sure, though.

Amazon prime is simply awesome

Rode mic too Matt!

I would relate rode users to Harley & Apple. Very dedicated fans.
