In the Viera, Florida area, we have been blessed with a female American Kestrel that will allow you to get within 20 feet for photographs.

Lucky you, Ira. And nice shots. I especially like the first because I carved a male kestrel on a rusty post like yours with the tail fanned eight years ago.

Used the Canon 7D with the Tamron 200-500mm attached.
