I'm looking for opinions on a backpack style bag to fit a gripped 7D and 600 F4 L IS.
Please let me know what you bought and why you chose it over other brands etc.
Thank you for your opinions.

Oct 25, 2013 15:16 | #5 I got the Tamrac Expedition 8 Backpack for my 500 f4 mk1 with 7d gripped and kenko teleconverter. I don't know if it would fit the 600 or not, but I'd suggest looking at a Tamrac bag. Everyday use: 7D2, 1.4x v3 Canon TC (sometimes the 2x v2 Canon TC), Canon 500mm f4 L IS USM; 6D, 24-105L

But has the other half of the bag to store more lenses and bodies, extenders etc. If I just want to go out with the 600 and my 1DX I use the Tamrac Super Telephoto Backpack. It fits the 600 with body attached and even the 1.4 TC attached. But almost no other room for anything else. http://www.tamrac.com …s/supertelephotolenspack/ 1DX / 5DMKIII / 1DMKIV / 7DII / Bower 14 f/2.8 / 17-40 f/4 / 24-70 f/2.8 II / 24-105 f/4 IS / 40 f/2.8 / 70-200 f/2.8 IS II / 100-400 IS II / 200-400 f/4 IS EXT / 300 f/2.8 IS II / 600 f/4 IS II /

Oct 28, 2013 19:27 | #9 The Lowepro Lens Trekker 600 or 600 Mk2 will do the job (with a pro body attached) and they are light. There are better packs out there but they tend to be bigger, heavier and more expensive. Life is for living, cameras are to capture it (one day I will learn how!).

Nov 27, 2013 19:03 | #12 It looks like the Kinesis might fit my combo with the hood in shooting position and body attached. Are there any other bags that will fit this setup?

cicopo Goldmember More info | Nov 27, 2013 20:38 | #13 I just bought the Tamrac 5793 for my 300 f2.8 L IS WITH the newest 2X TC attached to a 1D4 ready to shoot. The total length of that is 20 1/4 inch and it fits but with only a bit more room for more length. I did NOT want more space nor more bulk than necessary. If memory serves me right the whole thing came in at about 13-14 pounds on a cheap bathroom scale. This is how it looks now that the covering kit has been installed (ordered it with the bag & a few other accessories needed. A skill is developed through constant practice with a passion to improve, not bought.
