Hi,
I am from North America and I know how to get quality stuff from used retailers B&H, audorama, KEH, etc.

Is there equivalent in Europe, I stumble on MPB and other in the UK, but nothing in Europe. I am new here so I don't yet understand the VAT tax on used stuff bought in one country and sell to another one. Can someone help me here (I am in Sweden, if that matters).

First, UK is in Europe.
Second, if you buy a product within the European Union, then you pay VAT in the country where you buy it, regardless of where it's shipped to, or where you live. The only exception is if you start importing stuff on a large scale. Then you may be obliged to pay VAT in the destination country, since it seems like you are running a business, not importing single pieces for private consumption.

Dealers like Rajala (external link)and Scandinavian Photo (external link)now and then sell used stuff too, in Sweden. Just to name a few.

If you live out of the European Union, you can go through the hassle of claiming VAT back when you leave the European Union country you bought the stuff in. Norway,(not in the EU) offers this service too for tourists at most major border and exit points. They have a 25% VAT (called moms like in Sweden) rate on photo gear and much else.
