Sometimes the story behind getting the shot is just as interesting as the image itself, and this was no exception. After many years of stalking turkeys with little success, this group of 15 birds just walked out of the woods and into the cornfield. They didn’t seem to mind at all that my son and I were doing chores on his small farm and just leisurely worked the field for harvest scrapes. It would be great if more folks posted the story behind the image.

Great story, can't believe they trotted on by at this time of year especially. I always thought they were really spooky, hope you get more days like this one!
