Photography frustration

Another feature of the 5D3 not found in the older cameras is the Micro Focus Adjust, which allows you to "fine-tune" cameras with high resolutions to a given set of lenses, worth checking out!

With most new cameras I get, I just start shooting. It's not a gun, so there's no danger of harming anyone with that theory. I'm not going to want to have the manual or a video with me when I'm out at an event, so I figure the best way to learn how to figure it out is to figure it out on my own. Not to mention, most cameras of the same brand have similar controls, so it's fairly easy to figure out if you have used that brand before. Now if there's something I'm trying to do and really can't figure it out, then I'll go to the manual or search it online.

3. Read sections of the manual carefully
   
4. Check other sources for help
   
5. Repeat steps two, three and four

If eventually a bit bored, find ways to get in more trouble.

That's pretty much me, too.

Read the manual. Then go play with it. If there's something I need help figuring out, like all the focus points, micro adjust, AI focus modes... or whatever, I re-read those sections or look for other sources.

Just playing with the camera is a nice way to learn about it. My opinion.
