Get an EOS M...

This. Same IQ as 60D in a smaller package. Forget the viewfinder of g series, as said it sounds more useful on paper but its useless.

Keep the 60d. Trading downwards.

OP have you actually looked thru the viewfinder of G15/G16 before?

It's beyond un-usable, absolute garbage!

I wish Canon has never fitted one in in the first place...

Unless you are a hardcore Canon fanboy, there are many similar cameras out there that are better than the G series by miles, x20, lx7, xz 2 and rx100/II just to name a few.

Yeah if I remember correctly the viewfinder coverage on the G15 is something like 85% or less, its really unfortunate that the viewfinder isn't actually more useful

I guess you do what you feel is best. I had my t3i at canon for a minor repair for about 9 days. I hated not having the second body around. I personally like keeping two different types of lenses on te two bodies. I can quickly pick what I need up without farting around. Also, I had the 60d when the t3i was at canon. That's an invaluable feeling and came in useful to me. If I didn't have the second body I would've been sol.

Yea, it's pretty garbage.. but it still works, as i said.. i hate taking photos an armlength away from my face. I want to keep it tight and upclose to my face. I'm not an lcd screen type of guy.

If you print at 300dpi, you cannot even really get an 8x10 without resizing the pixels up to accommodate. I could see 8x10s, but would be wary of anything larger, and especially if you have to crop and keep small details for folks to see.

For example, here is a sample where I cropped a 1D sized image from a portrait shot, then sized it up to a 16x20, vs what an 18mpx camera would do.
