I'm assuming I can, but I'd like to double check. Likewise, can I have a 580EX II set as master disabled sitting on top of my camera and then attach a PC cord from the flash to the strobe to fire the strobe?

The 622C will provide a sync signal, 1st-curtain, 2nd curtain or pre-shutter/hypersync. can I have a 580EX II set as master disabled sitting on top of my camera and then attach a PC cord from the flash to the strobe to fire the strobe?
