I am thinking of upgrading from my canon T2I to a 5dIII I already have some good glass (70-200 2.8 IS II, 24-105 F4 IS and a 80 1.8), other than the cost is there a reason not to get the 5dIII. I shoot lots of dog photos (moving) , my kids etc. Would like better iq and faster focus speed. The dog pictures seem to be moving to a spot where this will become more than a hobby. Thank You

Sorry I do not know the T21, but assumming it is a crop camera, I moved from a 7D. I am also assuming the 7D is more advanced than a T21.
I have no regrets at all. I think the af is faster. Definitely better in low light and I feel the image quality id a big improvement.
For instance if I shot a full length portrait, and for eg the image was so so but the face was exceptional, I now would be happy to crop to the face and still find the IQ acceptable whereas on the crop it would not meet my standard. Uncropped it just looks a lot richer IMO.
I understand the 7D had a higher pixel density etc. - bit to me what counts is what I see not the technical argument. That alone justified the purchase at £2,300 . i see you guys in the US can buy it for $2,700! = £1,688!!! At that price it is utterly a no brainer.
The build quality is better ( the 7D was also jolly good ) and they say the water proofing is better ???
I too have the 70-200L Is USM II and find the combination to be superb. I did miss the reach on my 70-300L IS USM a little.
I shoot horses and realise dogs are smaller hence my point. But I can normally just get physically a little closer. Can you?
I like the fact that many class A lenses can utilise more accurate focus points. Strongly recommend you read that section of the 5D3 manual - if like me you are into the best IQ. The 70-200L II is class A and as such supports F8 with teleconverters etc.

If the T21 is what I think it is you would have a fabulous upgrade at a deal of a lifetime price.
NB there is no pop up flash so you will need to budget for an Ste 3.
