Yesterday I volunteered to run a photo booth for a local non-profit during their event (a zombie 5k). Everything was great, there were lots of fun people to meet and a lot of great zombie makeup.

At one point though I became extremely frustrated. I am sure some of you have encountered this before. I have my umbrellas set up and everything is as it should be for a photobooth. This one lady was running around with a rebel/kit lens combo using her pop up flash. She decided it was a good idea to come and stand next to me and start firing off shots with her flash while I am trying to take pictures..... Then she was trying to get the people to look at her. As annoying as it was I just kept my mouth shut and she finally went away.

Anyways, just had to share/rant about it :P.

Why were you so nice about it? You had an agreement with the organizers to be where you were. She was interfering.

I figured she would go away. I did not want to appear to be a jerk in front of the people I was taking pictures of. I guess I was also just a little shocked that someone would do that and was kind of lost as to what I would even say. It's just amazing how some people can be so rude.

That was very inconsiderate and rude of her. It was probably better that you waited her out, rather then say something (who knows). I take pictures at the team ropings I go to but I put my camera away when there's a professional there trying to make a living. I also try to purchase from them when I can. I never want to step on toes, but the majority of people don't think that way.

Yes, but didn't you know she was a real zombie, dressed as a normal person so that her rude and inconsiderate behavior didn't reflect on zombies in general.

That situation is where a taser would come in handy.

Assuming you were charging, then just say "hey lady, you are getting into my pocket here." I had to confront a person who wanted to use their cell phone to take a shot while I was doing the posed photo of the winners of a local dog show.

Vying for sainthood, are we?

I admit I lack your patience.
